5 days amazing tour in Nepal from Kathmandu

Day 1: Kathmandu Airport-Kathmandu Hotel

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, our tour guide will receive you and escort you to your hotel. Our tour manager will conduct a short briefing session about the tour. If you are experiencing jet lag, we suggest you to take a proper rest. If you are still energetic, we will take you to the following places on a short sightseeing tour:

1. Ason (vegetable and spice market)
2. Indrachowk (Ancient trading point)
3. Kathmandu Durbar Square (UNESCO world heritage site featuring medieval palaces, wood and stone carvings and Kumari Ghar)

Note: If your arriving late, this program will be postponed to the day of your departure. We ensure that you will not miss any interesting places.Dinner at your own expense.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing

Option Tour: Everest Mountain flight tour | 1 hrs. | USD 210 per person

Enjoy early morning mountain flight to close-up views of snowcapped Himalayan peaks including Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Makalu, Mt. Everest, Manaslu and Kangchenjunga. After the flight, return to your hotel and have a warm breakfast.

Regular Tour:

At 9.30am, your tour guide will pick you up from hotel and take you for Kathmandu Sightseeing. You will first visit Swayambhunath Stupa, also called Monkey Temple-the oldest Buddhist stupa. It is the best place to observe the religious harmony between Hindus and Buddhists. The next destination we visit is Boudhanath Stupa which is a center of pilgrimage especially for Tibetan devotees and Tibetan monks.

Afterwards we drive to Pashupatinath, an ancient temple of Lord Shiva, to observe Hindu crematory sites and interact with Sadhus and Aghoris. Afterwards we will tour Patan Durbar Square including a lunch at your own expenses in one of the medieval courtyards. Golden Temple, Khumbeshwor Temple, Bhimsen Temple, Krishna Temple, Patan Museum are important sites to visit.

Note 1: If time permits, we will also visit Gaja Hiti (traditional water spout) and Mahaboudha.

Note 2: Lunch at your own expenses

By evening we prepare to leave Patan for Kathmandu. Once in Kathmandu we will go to a Nepal restaurant to enjoy authentic Nepali dinner and traditional dance performance. Post dinner you will return to hotel for overnight rest.

Day 3: Hiking and volunteering day in Kathmandu

At about 5.30am, we will pick you up from your hotel with packed breakfast and drive straight to Jhor (1800m) which takes about 30 minutes. Situated at Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park, Jhor (Gurje Bhanjyang) is the entry point for Kerung. Now we start hiking from Jhor towards Kakani which covers a distance of over 7km. Enroute we see splendid views of snowcapped peaks such as Langtang Lirung, Ganesh, Gorkha Himal and Manaslu. Once we reach Kakani (2030m), we will have breakfast and after some rest, at about 10pm, we visit a local school. The remote school is attended by disadvantaged Tamang community.

You will meet the headmaster who will offer you a volunteering work according to your skills. Placements are available for teaching, arts, sports and other creative activities. By 3pm you will finish volunteering work and prepare to return back to Kathmandu by local bus. Once in Kathmandu, we will drive you back to your hotel. Late afternoon and evening is one your own to relax.

Note: We will carry dry foods and snacks for lunch. Lunch and dinner at your own expenses.

Day 4: Kathmandu-Nagarkot -Kathmandu

At around 5.30am we will pick you up from hotel and drive to Nagarkot which takes 1 hr 15 minutes. Once in Nagarkot we will watch sunrise and mountain views including that of Mt.Everest, Langtang and Ganesh Himal. Afterwards we go to a hotel nearby to enjoy breakfast and some rest. We will head from there to Bhaktapur Durbar Square which takes about 30 minutes.

In Bhaktapur Durbar Square you will explore 55-window palace, Pottery Square, Dattatraya Square, local museum and Newari lifestyle. After completing the tour of Bhaktapur, we will drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 5: Your Hotel-Kathmandu Airport-Your Country

Have your breakfast at your own pace since there is no special program today. Whether you would like to go shopping or spa, it is up to you.

Note 1: We will pick you up from your hotel 3 hrs. before the flight departure time. Usually the checkout time in Nepali hotels is before noon (12.00pm).

Note 2: Those who miss sightseeing program on the arrival day can postpone it for final day. The guide will inform you about the pick-up time one day prior.
