The Annapurna Conservation Area is Nepal’s largest protected area covering 7,629 km2 in the Annapurna range of the Himalayas across the Mustang, kaski, Myagdi, Manang and Lamjung districts. How to get there?
Annapurna Conservation area is the most easily accessible area in Nepal. It is easily accessible from the famous cities like Kathmandu and Pokhara. However, pokhara is the nearest city and the gateway to enter the Annapurna Conservation area. This conservation area is consider as very famous. The famous route in this conservation area is Annapurna circuit and that includes the place like Base camp, Mardi Himal, Poon Hill etc. You can travel easily by public or private vehicle from Kathmandu and Pokhara. Or you can take a flight to Pokhara and hire private vehicles. Similarly, most of the place in this conservation area is not possible without trekking. However, some are easily access by bus.
