06.00 am: Pick up from your hotel in Pokhara, and we will drive to Muktinath via Nayapul, Beni and Jomsom.

NOTES:

Drive from Pokhara to Kagbeni is about 160km, with 10 hrs Jeep drive. You will have your lunch en route.
Kagbeni village altitude is at 2810 m. It is the gateway to Upper Mustang. Found on the bank of Kali Gandaki River, the beautiful village has flagstone-covered alleys that travelers can explore.

00.00pm: Arrive in Kagbeni. Check in hotel, followed by rest and relaxation. After having refreshment, you will have small tour around Kagbeni Bazar(market), Kali Gandaki river, Ghat, Monastery etc.

00.00pm: Back to hotel after the Kagbeni Tour.

Day 2: Drive from Kagbeni to Muktinath, then to Jomsom

07.00am: Breakfast at hotel.

08.00am: Check out, pick up from hotel, drive to Muktinath Temple.

09.00am: Arrive at Muktinath Temple. Visit and worship the temple and oldest monastery.

NOTE: Muktinath is an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. It has a pagoda-style temple, 108 water spouts behind the temple and images of various Hindu gods and goddesses.

10.00am: Drive back to Jomsom after visiting the Muktinath Temple.

NOTE: Jomson is known for its ancient salt trade route along the bank of the Kali Gandaki River. It is the starting point for many treks named – Upper Mustang Trek, Muktinath Trek etc. The trails of which are used by Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims.

11.00am: Arrive in Jomsom, check in hotel and have your lunch.

12.00pm: After lunch, we will visit:

Dhumba Lake – The distance between Jomsom and Dhumba lake is about 5-6 km walk across the river which will need one hour to reach there. It is situated at the base of Mt. Nilgiri. The lake is small but beautiful.
Thini Village -T he historic village was once part of the Kingdom ruled by King Thing Mig Chen and you can see the ruins of Gharab Dzong- a hilltop fortress – and the Buddhist temple, Thini Bonpo Gumpha. From the fortress, you can also bask in breathtaking panorama comprising Mt. Nilgiri, Tilicho Peak, Yak Kawa, Mesokanto La, Mt. Dhaulagiri as well as a bird’s eye view of Dhumba Lake, Samle, Thini, Jomsom, Puthang and Syang villages.
Marpha village – Marpha (2,665 meters/8,744 feet) is fondly termed “the apple capital of Nepal”. This pretty village is inhabited by the Thakali clan and, needless to say, is famous for its delicious apples. Thak Khola architecture of flat roofs and narrow paved alleys and passageways is found here. Chhairo Gompa, located near this village, is also architecturally and culturally significant and is a must-visit.

05.00pm: Back to hotel after the trip.
07.30pm: Dinner at your hotel. Tour ends.
