Nepal has four seasons: Spring (March, April, May), Summer (June, July, August), Autumn (September, October, November) and Winter (December, January, February).
Spring season is popular for sunny/blue skies, cool weather, greenery and blooming flowers and clear visibility of snow-capped mountains. Nepali people are in celebratory mood for such festivals as Dashian, Tihar, Maha Puja in this period.
Summer season, also called monsoon, sees maximum rainfall. The weather is hot and partly cloudy. The ground become wet due to rainfall.
Autumn season is like Spring season with sunny/blue skies, warm weather, falling of tree leaves and clear visibility of snow-capped mountains. This is a season for some of the biggest Nepalese festivals.
Winter season is the coldest period in Nepal when it is freezing cold in the mountains along with snowfall. There is less greenery however the visibility is clear.
Spring and Autumn are two best seasons for tourists to visit Nepal. During monsoon season, trans-Himalayan region such as Dolpo and Upper Mustang are excellent for trekking. Some treks are also possible during winter season.

‘An Incredible Experience”
I had a terrific experience on a 3 day tour that was arranged for me by Siddartha Mishra when I was recently there. The tours and guides provided were excellent and knowledgeable about the country. The hotel accommodation was perfect, clean and 5 star. Siddartha customized the trip for me and was so very helpful. I had never used ‘Eyes on Nepal’ before and would highly recommend them as they were wonderful.
