    Nagarkot Hike is a short and easy trek from Kathmandu that gives you a taste of Himalayan trekking. This short hike around Kathmandu starts with a drive from Kathmandu to Jarsinghpauwa, the starting point of Nagarkot hiking trail. It takes around 3 hrs. to reach Nagarkot from here on a trail which is well maintained.

    Kathmandu to Nagarkot hike offers you great views of Manslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang and even Everest. Nagarkot trek from Kathmandu is a simple trek suitable for trekkers of all ages.     Situated just 34 km from Kathmandu, Nagarkot at an altitude of 2175m, is a picturesque viewpoint to see Himalayan peaks and a starting point for short Nagarkot Trek.

    CANCELLATION POLICY

    Cancellation policy is only applicable to package tariffs. The cancellation charge will be against the total package cost after deducting non-refundable expenses such as permits, transportation costs, airfare expenses that have been paid as part of the trip.
    • If you cancel your trip 30 days prior to the program start date, 15% cancellation fees of the total package cost will be charged.
    • Any cancelation made 15 days prior to the program start date, 30% cancellation fees of the total package cost will be charge.
    • If you cancel your trip 1 week prior to the program start date, 50% cancellation fees of the total package cost will be charge.
    • cancelation made less than one week prior to the program start date, it will be deemed as no show and hence no refund will be made.
    • You must notify us about cancellation through writing via email.

    NAGARKOT HIKE Itinerary in detail

    Here is the details itinerary for Nagarkot hiking from Kathmandu via Jarsing Pauwa :

    DayKathmandu-Nagarkot-Kathmandu

    We will pick you up at 8am from Thamel. It is recommended you have your breakfast before 8am. We will drive to Jarsingpauwa via Boudha and Sankhu which takes about one and a half hours. We will start our trek from Jarsingpauwa to Nagarkot, a distance of about 7km which can be covered in 3 hrs. The trail is dust free flanked by green hills and Kathmandu valley on either side. Along the trail you can observe the simple lifestyle of villagers. Great views of Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Shishapangma, Dorje Lakpa, Gauri Shankar and Everest (if you are lucky!) are visible from Kathmandu to Nagarkot trek.

    Once in Nagarkot, we will partake of pre-ordered lunch. After lunch continue trek to Nagarkot view tower located at the height of about 2175m. Watch sunset view and then drive back to Kathmandu.
