The trail passes through ancient town of Sankhu where you will visit old temple before heading to Nagarkot. CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation policy is only applicable to package tariffs. The cancellation charge will be against the total package cost after deducting non-refundable expenses such as permits, transportation costs, airfare expenses that have been paid as part of the trip.
  • If you cancel your trip 30 days prior to the program start date, 15% cancellation fees of the total package cost will be charged.
  • Any cancelation made 15 days prior to the program start date, 30% cancellation fees of the total package cost will be charge.
  • If you cancel your trip 1 week prior to the program start date, 50% cancellation fees of the total package cost will be charge.
  • cancelation made less than one week prior to the program start date, it will be deemed as no show and hence no refund will be made.

NAGARKOT TREK FROM KATHMANDU ITINERARY IN DETAILS

Here is the day to day details itinerary for short Nagarkot trek from Kathmandu.

Day 1Kathmandu-Nagarkot

We will pick you up at 8am from Thamel. It is recommended you have your breakfast before 8am. We will drive to Jarsingpauwa via Boudha and Sankhu which takes about one and a half hours. We will start our trek from Jarsingpauwa to Nagarkot, a distance of about 7km which can be covered in 3 hrs. The trail is dust free flanked by green hills and Kathmandu valley on either side. Along the trail you can observe the simple lifestyle of villagers. Great views of Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Shishapangma, Dorje Lakpa, Gauri Shankar and Everest (if you are lucky!) are visible from Kathmandu to Nagarkot trek.

Once in Nagarkot, we will partake of pre-ordered lunch. After lunch continue trek to Nagarkot view tower located at the height of about 2175m. Watch sunset view and then return to hotel where you will have dinner.

Sankhu to Nagarkot trek begins with a drive to Sankhu from Kathmandu and walking through Lapsiphedi, Jaharing Pouwa, Kattike Bhanjyang. It is 14 kms that takes 5 hours. Sankhu is ancient Newari village, it has temples, Nagarkot is famous hill station from where clearly have glimpses of180 degree of Himalayan ranges. Sankhu to Nagarkot day hike gives the hikers a good picture of the Nepalese village lifestyle along with an occasional glimpse of distant Himalayas on a clear day.

Chisapani Nagarkot trek

Chisapani Nagarkot trek start from Sundarijal to Chisapani following a scenic route, along the unstoppable stone stairs that continues up to Chisapani. It is a pleasant walk through the woods of rhododendron. Chisapani to Nagarkot hike trail is quite physically demanding because it takes about 7 hours to arrive at the hill station of Nagarkot.Most part of the trail until Nagarkot is through the forest of the Shivapuri National Park.
