    CANCELLATION POLICY

    Cancellation policy is only applicable to package tariffs. The cancellation charge will be against the total package cost after deducting non-refundable expenses such as permits, transportation costs, airfare expenses that have been paid as part of the trip.
    • If you cancel your trip 30 days prior to the program start date, 15% cancellation fees of the total package cost will be charged.
    • Any cancelation made 15 days prior to the program start date, 30% cancellation fees of the total package cost will be charge.
    • If you cancel your trip 1 week prior to the program start date, 50% cancellation fees of the total package cost will be charge.
    • cancelation made less than one week prior to the program start date, it will be deemed as no show and hence no refund will be made.

    Day 2Lhasa sightseeing tour | Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street

    Today you will enjoy full day sightseeing in Lhasa. First off you will visit the 7th century Potala Palace which was once used by Dalai Lama as a winter residence. Potala Palace has about 1000 rooms containing valuable Buddha literatures, Buddha sculptures, gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas, assembly and meditation halls. Next you tour Jokhang temple in Barkhor street which houses the statues of Buddha Sakyamuni, Avalokiteshvara and Amitabha. Barkhor street itself is an old market in Tibet dealing with a variety of products from incense to Tibetan medicine. In the evening you can witness Tibetan cultural show and visit Tibetan handicraft center (Note: entrance fee is US$60). Overnight in hotel.

    Day 3Lhasa sightseeing tour | Dadong village, Sera Monastery

    After breakfast, you will drive to beautiful Dadong Village that is home to Nyimatang Monastery. Later you go over to sacred Sera Monastery which practices Gelug branch of Buddhism and participate in monk debates. There are hermitages, nunnery, assembly halls and three colleges within the monastery premises along with images of Maitreya, Shakyamuni Buddha, Kwan-yin and Arhats. Overnight in hotel.

    Day 4Yamdrok Lake tour

    After breakfast, you will travel to Yamdrok Lake, one of the biggest freshwaters in Tibet. Guarded by goddess Dorje Gegkyi Tso, the lake is regarded sacred because of its association with Padmasambhava. There is a Samding monastery nearby which is also visited by Tibetans. This blue lake freezes during winter making it impressive to witness. By evening you will return to Lhasa.

    Optional:

    Alternatively you can drive to the 15th century Ganden Monastery at an altitude of 3800m. The chorten, gilded images and tomb of Tsongkhapa has been preserved here in this monastery along with his meditation cave. Return to Lhasa by late afternoon. Overnight in hotel.
